Kent-based McBrides, a member of The Corporate Finance Network, has skilfully supported a client in the establishment of an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) in the lighting sector.
Led by Anthony Hawkins, the team provided an indicative valuation of the company and tax-related support in connection with the transaction. McBrides also supported the legal advisers on the structure of the deal, helping to shape the commercial aspects of the legal documentation.
Further involvement included assistance with completion matters, such as calculation of the final purchase price. McBrides liaised with all parties to ensure a smooth process.
The transaction was successfully completed, enabling the move to an Employee Ownership Trust to be finalised in line with the agreed structure and purchase price.
