North Yorkshire-based accountancy firm Hunter Gee Holroyd (HGH) has advised on the 100 per cent disposal of a company by way of a share sale within the transport sector.
The engagement was initially led by Kelsey Butterfield, who was responsible for marketing the business for sale and managing discussions with prospective buyers. This included negotiating the commercial terms of the transaction, achieving a strong value for the sale of the shares, and navigating the complexities associated with a full share disposal. Jessica Jackson followed to take leadership of the transaction and provided continuity through to completion.
Under Jessica’s direction, the HGH team managed the due diligence process, responding to detailed enquiries from the buyer and ensuring that the client’s interests were fully protected at each stage. The team worked closely with both the vendors’ solicitors and the buyer’s legal advisers, maintaining clear communication and momentum throughout what was a time-sensitive transaction.
HGH collaborated closely with Newton Solicitors, led by Will Newton, coordinating efforts to address legal and commercial issues as they arose and ensuring alignment between the financial, tax, and legal aspects of the deal. A key focus was maintaining progress against a tight timetable, which required proactive management and close liaison with all parties involved.
Drawing on HGH’s extensive experience with owner-managed business disposals, the transaction was successfully completed within the required time frame, achieving a positive outcome for the client and concluding the share sale as planned.
