Consilium Chartered Accountants, a member of The Corporate Finance Network, Consilium has advised the owners of an Industrial Services company, EDT Group on their sale to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT)
EDC Group, which comprises three businesses – EDC Scotland, EDC Air Compressors and EDC North East – operates in Scotland and the North East of England. EDC provides, installs and maintains ABB variable speed drivers and motors, alongside instrumentation calibration services.
Consilium undertook a full corporate finance and tax advisory service for our client right through to deal execution on the disposal of the entire share capital of the group to a newly established Employee Ownership Trust.
The transfer of 100% of the share capital of the Group to an Employee Ownership Trust gives every employee an interest in the business and provides a fantastic platform for the continued growth of the Group.
