Consilium, a member of The Corporate Finance Network based in Glasgow is pleased to announce their client, Rowan Timber Supplies (Scotland) Limited trading as Woodrow Timber has successfully sold three timber merchant branches to one of the largest national builders merchants, MKM Building Supplies.
Consilium is delighted to announce that its corporate finance team has advised the owners of Woodrow Timber on the disposal of three timbers merchants that employed c.50 staff to MKM Building Supplies. The transaction was led and managed by John Blair, a Partner at Consilum who leads the Corporate Finance division at Consilium. The Consilium team succeeded in maximising returns for the shareholders and securing the future of the business.
The purchaser, MKM Building Supplies is a nationwide building merchant with over 90 branches across the UK. This acquisition supported the firm with its expansion plan in Scotland.
This was an excellent deal for the vendors as it secured the future of the business under the ownership of an ambitious and strategic acquirer.
