LEES, a member of The Corporate Finance Network with offices in Norwich and London, has successfully advised an electronics engineering and manufacturing business on its sale to a mult-national company.

The LEES Corporate Finance team were approached by the electronic manufacturing specialists after they decided it was time to explore options for selling the business. Martin Wilson (pictured), a corporate finance specialist led the project for LEES after they were appointed lead advisor. After exploring their options, it was decided that pursuing a sale to a trade buyer would maximise value for the business.

LEES helped the owners through the sale process, valuing the business, assisting in price negotiations, supporting the vendors throughout due diligence and providing input into the legal process. Due to issues that were subsequently facing the seller, the planned share sale was abandoned, and the trade and assets of the business were sold to the same buyer instead.

The client was pleased with the outcome which allowed them to concentrate on other business areas in the group.
