McBrides, a member of The Corporate Finance Network based in Kent and South East London, has advised the shareholders of a Construction firm on a restructure, enabling one of the founders to retire.
McBrides Corporate Finance Manager, Anthony Hawkins, was approached by the shareholders of a Construction firm when one of the founders wanted to exit from the business, disposing his shares to the other equal founder. The business owners had never gone through such a scenario so hired the services of the McBrides corporate finance team to provide advice.
The McBrides Corporate Finance team advised the shareholders on a proposed structure and valuation of the transaction. They also reviewed commercial aspects of the legal documentation, provided tax advice and project managed the process from start to finish.
The sale of shares enabled one of the shareholders to enjoy a well earned retirement.
