LEES, a member of The Corporate Finance Network with offices in Norwich and London, has successfully advised the shareholders of a recruitment company on its £7m sale to an international recruitment firm.

An established group in the recruitment sector was approached by a listed Japanese company, through one of its UK-based subsidiaries, to become part of a large multinational organisation, which provided clear synergies and opportunities to grow the business.

LEES was formally engaged to help the owners through the sale process. The LEES corporate finance team, including Martin Wilson who specialises in corporate finance transactions, assisted in the initial price negotiations, supporting the vendors throughout due diligence and providing constructive input into the legal process and structure so that the transaction fulfilled the client’s aspirations.

The deal allowed the vendors to remain active in the business post-completion, retaining a minority shareholding to allow them to help drive forward the business and share in future growth.
